A Look At What's NEX

I know I've been gushing about Messiah. They put their Generation NEX FAQ up recently, and it looks like it's going to be a winner. What's better, two of the questions I sent them appear verbatim in their FAQ (the Game Genie and Satellite questions), and my third one was also answered (about the top slot in the system). Naturally, I've already pre-ordered one because I'm a monster tool.

New Toys and Old Friends

Sometime either later today or tomorrow I'm receiving one of the Messiah wireless NES controllers. Just looking at it I want to drool all over its printed circuit boards and RF transmitter. I know it's going to be nice, unlike some of the knockoff controllers I've been playing around with over the past week or two.

I e-mailed Messiah about their upcoming third-party NES console, the Generation NEX. They tell me that all of my questions will be answered in their upcoming FAQ. I can't wait. I know I'm going to order one anyway, but I wanna know what they have in store. I'm such a tool.

I guess I'm looking forward to several things (A Feast For Crows notwithstanding). I'm going to be getting my arcade machine back sometime soon, and, with the help of a tech-oriented friend, plan on dropping a new monitor into it and getting it up and running. Oh yeah, it will be nice. Mr. Do! will once again have his day in the sun.

I'd also love to get a Pac-Man machine sometime before the end of the summer, in celebration of our round yellow savior's 25th year in the States. Oh man, that would be schwanky.
